Ok, I am importing a .move file directly to stage.  I select import directly to stage then click next.  ***A quick time alert then comes up and says that quick time is missing something and it is not on the quick time server to download it***  the movie can then be imported, but the movie does not show nor does the audio play!  What is the quick time element that I am missing and how do I get it?!?!  Anybody got anything?

does it tell you what's missing?
if so, do a search on google or summin and see if you can find it, otherwise first thing i'd try is reinstalling/updating quicktime.

Ok...
It only says that Quicktime does not have the necessary software and it cannot be found on the quicktime server.  I uninstalled and reinstalled QuickTime and got the same result.  ????????  It does not say what is missing!  Any ideas??????

what version of flash are you using?

hmm. i did a project recently with mx pro (using flv's rather than movs though) - and some machines couldn't see the videos while some could - and that was a codec problem.

not sure :-(

if i think of something, I'll let you know.
ps. can you post your file somewhere? without the movs?
have  you tried using another mov to see if its not a corrupt file or something?

I have started with a new file every time...I think it is a codec as well, but it doesn't really throw an error so I can't tell which one...

Thanks for all your help
