I have a Windows 2000 notebook SP4 with a CDR-DVD.  All of a sudden the drive does not work, computer management says
:This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)"

I've tried thr troubleshooter and no dice.  I uninstalled, rebooted W2k discovered the device and still the above problem.  I replaced the drive with another that does work and I put mine in another notebook and it works.  So must be some type of conflict but not sure where to go next.
