Error when trying to add an SMTP address

The e-mail address already exists in the organization ID no: c10312e7 Microsoft Active Directory - Exchange Extension.


I tried to search the Active Directory for that email address but did not find it.
Can someone help solve this issue.
We have Windows 2000 environment and Exchange 2000

I  followed these instructions before I posted my question and did not find any word that match the email address I am trying to add.

Please note I did not try method 2 and that is what I am in process of doing now.
