If you mean the 'tab order' of a dialog resource, it is easy:

Open the dialog resource in resource editor. Choose menu 'Layout - Tab Order ...' and click all controls til the order is correct. After build you could use the 'TAB' key to navigate on your controls.

If you want to insert the 'TAB' character to a string, use '\t' for that:

     string tabbedString = "That\t string\t is\t tabbed";

You may use these strings for printing, writing to text files and and in rich-edit controls.

If you mean putting a tab control on the dialog, just use the dialog control toolbar to add the tab controls to your dialog.  Then go into the class wizard and add a member variable that is associated with those tab controls.  Make sure it is a control category variable.

Now you should have a CTabCtrl object to add tab names to, and adding property pages is covered at http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/vccore98/HTML/_core_using_ctabctrl.asp

Hope this helps.

The easiest way I found to use a tab is to just use a property sheet:
