CTRL+SHift+C does not work in Delphi 6 Enterprise

Hi,
I had D6 Enterprise installed on my pc, which was running windows 2000 and all worked well.

I have since reformatted my Hard Drive and put Windows Professional SP1 and reinstalled D6 Enterprise, along with some 3rd party apps including CodeRush. Everything appears to work except some Keyboard shortcuts, including the most important, CTRL+SHIFT+C.

I have checked in CodeRush to see if there were any conflicts, which there were not. I even tried ADDING CTRL+SHIFT+C to CodeRush and attached to the ClassCompletion method, but this still did not work.

I have checked the Borland site to look for solutions, but the only solution did not work (a dpr file which was to be compiled and run accordingly).

If anybody has any advice it would be greatly appreciated

Regards
PJE

if you have ICQ installed, it has the same shortcut, so check if you can disabled it...

Don't have ICQ installed,

I would assume though that any shortcut within an application would only work within that application ??

As Ivanov_G said, most probably there is some global hotkey installed by some program you're running on your computer... This can be nearly everything.

Try examining the Tasklist and see for yourself which programs can cause it. Of course, trying the shortcut outside Delphi (when it's off) can also help. But it can be the hotkey isn't properly unassigned, and thus messing up things even after closure of the other program.

Just a thought,

also, may sound stupid, but make sure that your Ctrl and Shift keys work properly by themselves... I've seen this happen, where the shortcut keys don't work and is just the keyboard that needs to be smashed

did you try those key combinations before installing CodeRush? I'm almost sure that's the actual problem...

the GExperts are also a component that take keyboard shortcuts and they are part
of the delphi ide. maybe your problem lies there

I have tried everything, but still no luck. Class Completions just will not work, even if I reassign keys via Coderush. Have tested the key combinations and they work, just will not work with Class / Code Completion.
