We have MAC G4's with OS 9.2.  We also use MS Office for the MACS and Entourage for e:mail using a Sendmail server.  I had a MAC crash and setup another from scratch.  I need to copy the user's  e:mail files and address book from Entouage from her old MAC to the new one but for the life of me I cannot locate these files.  Where can I find the mail files and address book so that I can copy them to the new MAC?

i think it is in Documents->Microsoft User Data.  If not do a search for the Microsoft user data folder. You should be able to find it.

I have no more success finding thes "Documents" folder than I did trying to find the folders and files I requetsed....I guess I am so slow that I need specific instructions as to where the mail files and address files are located.

hit apple + F.  type in "Microsoft".  In the search results you should see the Microsoft User Data folder pop up.  Open entourage on the destination computer.  Then close entourage and use apple + F to find that folder.  now just drag and drop the Microsoft user data folder to the new computer and overwrite that folder.  Then open Entourage.  You should have all your stuff in tact.

Another way you can do it is to drag each mail folder to the desktop on the old machine.  then take these files and drag them into entourage on the new machine.  Then for the addressbook, you will simply export the address book to a text file.  Then, import it to the new machine.

njxbean,

Now that worked just great.  I admit MACs frustrate me no end.  All came up just fine, e:mail and contacts too!
