Upgrade to Windows 2003

I am currently run Winows 2000 standard as domain controller with Exchange 2000 standard on it. It's a Dell 2600, it has dual 2.8 zeon processors with 4gb RAM.
The reason for this inquirey is this error:

Source: MSExchangeIS
Category: Performance
ID: 9582
Type: Error
Description:
The virtual memory necessary to run your Exchange server is fragmented in such a way that performance may be affected. It is highly recommended that you restart all Exchange services to correct this issue.

I can't use the /3GB switch in the boot.ini on Win2k standard server.

1: Can I upgrade Windows 2000 standard server domain controller to Windows 2003 standard?
2: Can Exchange 2000 run on Windows 2003?

You can upgrade a Windows 2000 DC to Windows 2003 but I wouldn't recommend it. I don't like doing any kind of upgrades on servers - I like them to be rock solid and with an upgraded machine I cannot guarantee that.
You cannot upgrade a machine with Exchange on it, as you cannot run Exchange 2000 on Windows 2003.

I would seriously consider getting another machine to take the domain roles and leave this machine to Exchange only.

Simon.
