Monitoring CF server performance from within ColdFusion

I know I can setup coldfusion to dump data to the Windows performance monitor, but that program seems to be sadly lacking.

I would like to write a simple CF program that can do some monitoring and alerting for myself.  Allow me to look at current running processes, who submitted the processes, etc.  I think the 'Who submitted this process' one would be the key.  I know I could write it into the application file of each program I have out there, and write OnRequestEnd file's to remove the records when its done, but I was hoping for an elegent internal CF solution.  anyone have any idea's?

Hi JUSTICE,

You could do it in the OnRequestEnd, but from my experience cf pages run so quickly that they would start and end before you could really see them.

Your probably best storing the results of your monitoring in a db and analaysing it later.

Thanks for the feedback Plucka.   I just wrote a cfc that keeps track of things for me, dumps it into SQL.
