Is the any software that when a user gets disconnected, he is automatically reconnected to the same server or his session is resumed on another.
I know you can do this with Windows 2k3 Enterprise but I would like to avoid the added expense.

i have a good tip for you; I did'nt know before I bought Enterprise Edition :(
you can use Session Manager service (from Win 2003) on other server running win 2003 Enterprise Edition (you can use Standard Server for TSs and only the Session Manager service should run on 2003 Enterprise)
the only problem it's that you should have 1 Enterprise Edition Server in your network (you can use)

Ha, for real... bunch of microsoft liars, jk. Cool thanks for the tip. They made it sound like I had to use enterprise for each computer, I was like "HHHMMM my machine costs $3200, Enterprise costs $3400 (retail), am I the only one who sees a problem?"
