Local usb printer (hp laserjet 1012) causing spoolsv.exe error.

Local usb printer (hp laserjet 1012) causing spoolsv.exe error after installing hp driver for hp laserjet 1012. Error message comes up about every minute. Now I can't even  getthe printer folder open. When I could open it it said that the subsystem was unavailable.
