Nt 4.0 Volumes to Win 2K3 Advanced Server

I have NT 4.0 SP6a witch is directly attached via fibre to an EMC Symetrix 3930;
Sym Config: 256 Disk Drives 6.9TB RAW 4.2TB Usable
Devided into 2 X 2TB Volumes under Win NT 4.0

I have a new Dell 6650 4way running Win2k Advanced SP4.

Can I disconnect the Fibre Connection from the old server and reconnect to the new server with out losing all my data?

I started to do this allready and abandoned the process rather quickly. Not being 100% certain of the out come.

Can you please help with the.

The only issue is that the fibre channel WWN's change - assuming that you have purchased new FC HBAs. With a Clarrion in a single host direct-attach environment, you wouldn't need to make any other changes. With a Symm, I'm not sure. I'll leave that to the Symm boffins.

If you're running NTFS, you should be able to just swing the LUNs across to the new server.
