Is it possible to turn checkboxes and edit labels on/off for individual items in a CTreeCtrl?

For an individual item I think you would have to display them but not to respond to the event in a standard tree.  The alternative would be to code your own or see if someone else has already done it.  

Look at www.codeproject.com and www.codeguru.com.  They have (usually good) customised classes.

I was talking about actual checkboxes. I just used the checkboxes of my root items to toggle the status of all children. It actually worked out better that way.
