Apply a rule on everybody's mailboxes

Hello,

Is it possible to apply an outlook rule on everybody's mailbox ?

The only way I found so far is to create the rule, export it and then import
it to each user's mailboxes one by one .

Thanks

What do you want the rule to do? There are many ways of doing things in Exchange and one of those might be suitable.

Simon,

Thanks for you comment! Here is what I want to do!
Apply this rule after the message arrives
with <some_string_here> in the subject
and with <some_ip_address_here> in the message header
forward it to <a_particular_public_folder>

Basically if we receive an email from a particular mail server and a particular subject, this mail will get copied ( or forwarded to a public folder )

That would be better caught at the Exchange server by an event sink - rather than allowing it to hit the mailboxes. The sink could place a copy of the message in the public folder as well as allowing it to be delivered to mailbox.

I don't think GFI Mail Essentials will do this for you, despite it being an archiving function. I don't know if GFI can go to the level that you want. This means you will have to get something written for you.
I am no Exchange developers, but there are a number of them out there, some of them MVPs in Exchange. Google for Exchange Developers and see what they think this will cost.
