Lost e-mails in sent file in outlook express

I followed the advice of Ernest McDuff in an earlier post and deleted the folders.dbx file, and the newer of the two sent items.dbx files.  When I restarted outlook express, I still had not recovered my old sent messages.  What's more is, I can no longer find the second of the two sent items.dbx that I had at the outset.  Any advice ?  I'd really appreciate it.  Thanks.

Jim,

It is not clear if you atleast see those sent items.dbx files.

You can try these 2 famous programs to recover data in OE
