You are definitely out of luck - as spectere says, the PII doesn't go up to 500 (450 is the max). &nbsp;In addition, both Katmai and Coppermine require a 100FSB, and the PII has a 66FSB. &nbsp;It also runs at 2.8v, whereas Katmai runs at 2.0v and Coppermine runs at 1.6v. &nbsp;So unless the Dell motherboard lets you change the FSB and the cpu voltage, or automatically recognizes PIII's, it won't work.
