Does anyone know where I can get the API for controlling an acrobat object from javascript?  I'm trying to create an acrobat object and then open a URL in a new window from it.

Something like:
var bat=new ActiveXObject("PDF.PdfCtrl.6");
bat.getURL("http://www.google.com", "_blank");

forgive the pseudo-code, but w/o an acrobat API, I'm just guessing at method names.

To see all Interfaces in PDF.PdfCtrl.6 do this:
1.) Open Regedit
2.) Press F3 and search for PDF.PdfCtrl.6
3.) You will see in the Deafualt key for the InprocServer32 key this entry: C:\PROGRA~1\Adobe\ACROBA~1.0\Reader\ActiveX\pdf.ocx
4.) Open any Miscrosoft Application programm, for example: Word
5.) Press Alt-F11
6.) In the Microsoft Viasual Basic window goto menu Extras->Referencies
7.) Press View button and enter the ocx path for the FileName: C:\PROGRA~1\Adobe\ACROBA~1.0\Reader\ActiveX\pdf.ocx
8.) Close that reference Dialog
9.) Press F2
10) Select the PdfLib and look for your interfaces.

My applications are in German language so the menues could be slightly different names.
