how to force logon script to run when logging on remotely

I normally logon to the work windows network through a vpn connection from home with the same laptop I use at work.
When I am at work an I am wired to the network, everyday my logon script runs and I can get to the mapped drives.
When I go home and it is using the cached logon, I do not get all my drives available.
I suspect it is because I may have selected to disconnect a few of them while playing, and now the are no longer an option.
Is this mapped information (or lack of information) related to the cached account info not being updated?
What do I need to do to restablish those connections?
Do I need to provide people with logon scripts to run from home after they connect through the VPN, or is there something easier.
