intellingent explorer[ie.plugins] updates?

My synchronization manger is warning me that I am not receiving updates from this...I read that is adware, true? What do I do to keep my synch mngr from keeping this up. Also......what exactly does my synch mngr do?   lol
Adaware run with nothing showing up.
Have search and destroy also.

Yes, it is a pest.

Download Ad-Aware from here:

Install, UPDATE and run.
You may need to reboot and run again to clean all the nasties that cannot be deleted at once (“in use”).

Also excellent is SpyBot Search & Destroy available here:

Install, UPDATE and run.
You may need to reboot and run again to clean all the nasties that cannot be deleted at once (“in use”).
You should also apply the "immunize" function, since it blocks roughly 1700 known 'bad' runs/apis/apps.

Even if Ad-Aware and SpyBot S&D are similar, they do clean different things. You should have both of them and use REGULARLY.

You can also install “preventive” software that will help you control these nasties:

SpywareBlaster:

Avoids malicious Active X installs.
Advantage: no system resources used!!!
Just download, install and UPDATE.

All of them extremely useful but you must keep them UPDATED.

P.S.: Don't update Ad-Aware to version 1.04 yet. There are some problems with it. Keep 1.03 for the time being.

Well I'm running smoothly, but now the synch mngr says warning offline webpages intelligent explorer (ie plugin) onscreen portal warning scheduled updates are disabled.....love spy bot, blocks all sorts of pests!

Cuz I was running so well!!  LOL It doesn't seem to be effecting anything....just the little icon with an !!! Is it something I should be concerned about? As you can tell, I'm not very PC illiterate. But you went through so much trouble to help....

I search for updates and run them at least twice a week.

Spy Sweeper is not free, but I do trust Ad-aware and Spybot S&D.
