Urgent!!!Outlook Calendaring

We are using 50 + Resource mailboxes in our environment. Meeting room booking is going good.

Now I got a request from users.

Whenever we book the room for a specific period of time it will go busy & normally it will be blue. Suppose somebody want to book the same room same time he can see that the room is busy by looking the Blue mark. But they can’t see the details of the bookings.
What I am looking for is they should see the booking details and booking person name..

To explain it more…

Meeting Room A booked by Sales manager for a sales Representatives meeting.
Time: Monday 10.00 – 11.00 AM

Now VP’s secretary looking to book for Meeting Room A for VPs meeting on the same day & time.

She can’t book the room since it is busy. And she won’t get the information about Representative meeting called by the sales manager.

In this scenario what user looking for is to see the information about the booking.

So the she can call the sales manger and explain him that she needs to schedule a meeting for VPs on Meeting room A on same time same day.. So that he can postpone the meeting or can keeps it on diff meeting room.

Hope I put my requirement clearly….

Thanks in advance…

Regards

I haven't used resources before, but I understand what you are trying to do, and I know how to do it in the calendar, so hopefully its the same.

When you set up a meeting using the calendar, and you want to see people's schedules, you would see blue bars if they are busy.  If they have given you permission to access their calendar, then you would see the blue bar but the details of that meeting would show up.

I suspect this would be the same with the resources.  Can you give everyone permission to view the resource mailbox or calendar?

Hope this makes so sense.

For the people I support they have both given me Publishing Editor Permissions on their calendar, so I am able to see what they are doing during the blocked off time.

I would recommend giving yourself various user permissions, to see which one enables you to see the details.

We don't use resources, so I can't really test anything for you.
