Hello JoshDale =)

Goto Start>Run>msconfig>Startup
and untick all applications except ur AntiVirus and Firewall
restart and run some onlien virus scans to check what is going wrong on ur system !!

1. http://us.mcafee.com/root/mfs/default.asp?cid=9059
2. http://security.symantec.com/
3. http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
4. http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/com/activescan_principal.htm
5. http://www.pcpitstop.com/antivirus/default.asp

After finishing them, get some Spyware Removal tools and Stinger, and run them in SAFEMODE to delete everything they detect !!

Well Mcafee shud remove it, it include this Trojan in its latest DAT files....
check here >> http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_122228.htm

so what u can try is to boot into safemode, delete those four files mnaully mentioned above, and then run stinger and Mcafee both to ensuer its really gone and ur system is clean :)

I just put the thing together about 2 hours ago and that trojan was making it run like crap. So I was like ah what the heck, reformat, re-install.

yeah i can think of the frustation,,,, but usually people, myself including, think that cleaning trojans\viruses is more easy than a Format and Fresh install, where u have to reinstall each and everything back again and have to backup all data etc etc..... i mean atleast i hate it when i have to format my system =(

So i was thinking of to atleast give a try to removing this trojan, may be we can kick it out after some attempts :)

Yea, but I already backed everything up when I started doing the install. It took me 30 minutes to bring it to life and about 1 hour to do a full scan of my system.
