How can I send a text message to any mobile device using vb6?
I am developing a vb 6 program and want to include text messaging to mobile phones. Can it be done directly through vb6 or do I need to create a web site to send it through. The users will have the service installed such as nokia, or nextel or att. I would like to be able to send text messages to their mobile phones and most of the users who install the sofware will have cable, dsl and might not have analog modems.
I need code.

You will need to have access so an sms gateway.
This can be on various ways: you can have a direct connection to a mobile operator, or you can use a third party solution with leased lines or an internet gateway where you can login. Did you allready contact a provider?

You can use the COM port driver to send and receive the SMS. On http://www.gsm-modem.de/gsm-modem-faq.html you will find examples how to send the AT commands.
