I have a client that wants to upgrade their 2000 AD controller to a new server. It is going from a Compaq Proliant 1600 with Raid 5 to a Proliant dl380 with raid 5 (smart array 5i) controller.  They have images the current server using deploy center and have restored it to the new server. When it boots it cant find the boot device because the raid controller has has changed. I have found the driver for the new controller and have used it to boot to 2000 server setup and supply the driver with f6.  I can then go into recovery console and see the winnt folder.  How can I change the driver used while in recovery console? I have thought of doing a second install of 2000 server to another folder on the same server and try to change the driver from there.  Any ideas??????

Thanks

This might help to give you access to the disk and maybe even boot; whether it will boot successfully will depend mainly on whether the two machines have compatible HALs.
