HI,

I have  a wireless bridge (AI108-4 Wireless Ethernet Bridge ) For  some reason  the default  password for the web interface does not go through i.e "Airaya"
I have tried  the  procedure  for opening  port 1023 ( telnet 192.168.1.70 1023) but once the  telnet session opens it disconnects  so fast  that i have no time to  log in and change password.

Anybody  with  any idea  as to how  i can  get access to configure this  Airaya wireless bridges ?

Hi abakhrani,

Wondering if there is  a Reset button in your wireless bridge. If there is one , press it and it should take to default factory settings.
Well that works for home routers might be the same deal
You can check if it goes to default settings by going to web interface and typing username as admin and no password.

Remember you might lose all the configurations you would have done previously so if you donot mind it , press the reset

**************
Lost User Name and Password
Abstract If you changed the User Name or Password on an AI108 bridge, but have forgotten what you set them to, the following information will allow you to access the AI108 web interface.
This technique works ONLY while a unit is in configuration mode. This technique does not work while in operational bridge mode.

To temporarily disable your user name and password and gain access to an AI108 bridge's web configuration interface, do the following:

1. Cycle the power on the AI108.

2. Open a telnet session to port 1023 of the IP address:

telnet 192.168.1.70 1023

3. While the telnet session is running, open your web browser and use the default user name "Airaya" and password "Airaya" to gain access to the web configuration system.

4. Change the user name and password to whatever you like, write it down in a log where you also keep the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway information for the link, and save your changes.

HI Sunray,

Thank  for  you for your  reply ,However  i have tried  that  partucular  technique and am always getting stuck. The reason  am getting stuck is  becouse when i do  telnet 192.168.1.70 1023  the  sessions opens  but  it  disconnects in a flash of a second. In  a normal situation the telnet session  should be on  for say 30 secs Plus.
But in this case the telnet session  disconnects  in less than  two seconds to the most .

I have  tried  different  PC's  just incase a background  programme was affecting the  telnet .i have even tried linux but still the  telnet disconnects  asap.

I have  tried  using two  PC's  one with the  password login promt  and other with  telnet on port 1023  to try and beat the  time but still its too fast on disconneting the telnet session

Please advice if there is any other technique

Did you try my first suggestion of pressing the reset button in the bridge. Is there one ?

If that also doesnot help , you may want to contact the manufacturer as they might have other solutions.

Hopefully , some expert here would have other ideas

Not sure what you mean by here.. I would say call the customer service and see what can be done

Do you know what you did before which this all started
Are you sure you never changed the default password after installation

Hi Sunray ,

The  units are new and never used before.
The first thing i did  was to try open  http://192.168.1.70:8080   and the password  Airaya never went through.

Hmm.. If the units are new and if airaya is the default password to start with and it didnot help , then
either there is something faulty in the unit or something is not done right. If you feel you are doing everything correctly , it makes me beleive you need to call the manufacturers and check with them.
