IIS Problem Launching Excel

I setup a new server with IIS and Office 2000, and there are some web applications in IIS that launch Excel.  I used DCOMCNFG to change the settings and allow launch and access permissions to everyone, as well as the IUSR and IWAM users.  Excel launches fine when you are going to a page as the anonymous user (IUSR), but for any page that uses windows authentication, Excel gives a can't launch error message.  What setting(s) am I missing?

Thanks in advance.

"Everyone" is not good enough for this purpose.. Create a domain wide group and add that instead.

What do you mean "everyone is not good enough for this purpose"?  That's even what some of the Microsoft examples show.

Installing SP 3 resolved it.  Thanks anyway.
