in google when i start to type the word Stromboli, (want to find the origin of this fine example of culinary science)
windows attempts to give me all past searches starting with the letter S.    if i wanted to clean all past instances of any searches where would i start?   where does win2000 works. keep history of past search strings, web pages visited etc.

should i e-bay my machine and i wanted to make sure it is clean of any activities and traces of my usage (without re-installing the ops...)

thank you in advance.

thanks ralonso for your answer.  just one more quick question, i have used couple of applications which claim they clean your system from internet usage, past searches, last files accessed etc.  where does the system actually story the 'auto-completion' stuff as i feel the apps didn't clean that despite the fact thast i turned it off.

some part of it is kept in the registry (recently used files, search strings, etc.)

things to do with IE are usually kept in the user profile
c:\documents and settings\username\application data
c:\documents and settings\username\local settings\application data
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
and the like.
