I'm developing a small application and I need to access a database to mantain some configuration tables, but I don't want to use a web based interface. The database will be an MS-Access database (mdb). So I'm looking for a sample of a java graphical (swing or swt) application using jdbc to access a local database with the usual buttons (add, delete, next, previous).
I'm using websphere (based on eclipse).

What you are asking is not simple (with regards to code size). You cannot find any simpler than the linsk provided. Mayeb if you can isolate the code you are realyl interested in will help.
