Outlook 2003 Duplicate Entry Removal

I have found that ( for some reason ) my IPAQ and Outlook 2003 have built multiple copies of many/most of my appointments, especially those in the past.  The limit seems to be three copies of an appointment for that time slot/day.  As I am syncing both at work and home with this IPAQ the 'damage' has spread to both copies of Outlook.

In trying to resolve this I've found a number of shareware programs which purport to remove duplicate entries both on the IPAQ as well as in Outlook.  The problem purportedly occurs when using Outlook with Exchange as well.  But as this seems to be a known issue I was wondering why Microsoft and/or HP have not addressed it? Thus this post:

Is anyone aware of a free fix or script one might run to clean up exact duplicate entries in Outlook?

Many Thanks

Hi Bluewhale,

the only thing I can think of (and it may not work) is to export the messages to a pst file then when importing back in there is an option not to import duplicates, but as they are already in it may not work ....but it may be worth a try.

Hope This helps
