Windows Defects Exposed

Don't think your new version of Windows is better than that of its predecessor, it is just another piece of idiot invention. Earlier I noticed a Virus has resided in my computer, in the directory of System32. I used Explorer to look for it, setting to show all the hiden files and system files, but found  out nothing. Then again I used Search Companion to look for it, but still came out null. Finally by try and error, I went to Dos Command Prompt, using the Cacls command  to change the virus file's Access Right and used Attrib command to clear its attribute then got it eradicated. The disadvantage of using Cacls is that you have to know the file's name beforehand, otherwise using Wildcard to look for a directory like System32 could be quite exhausting. My question is: Is there any Ready Made Software can display every file in every corner of your hard disk so as to replace that stupid Explorer and Search Companion? Please comment.
