Hi

I need to rebuild a file server, unfortunately it has been setup with user permissions all over the place (shares permissions and NTFS permissions all at different levels etc). Is there a program I can get (preferably free) that will run on the server and give me a list of all shares and folder permissions on the server?

Thanks.

Take a look at DUMPSEC from SOMARSOFT.COM

If you need something more comprehensive they have other tools and there is also a product called security explorer by www.scriptlogic.com
