You should just have to type http://ipaddress.  That's what we did here when we were in a workgroup setting for our intranet.  Make that the home page, and it should come up as soon as someone opens IE.

If you're running AD and/or DNS, there're more graceful ways to hit that address (such as http://friendlyname) and to deploy that as the homepage.

Fill in the form and get your FREE NFR key NOW!

Veeam is happy to provide a FREE NFR server license to certified engineers, trainers, and bloggers.  It allows for the non‑production use of Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows. This license is valid for five workstations and two servers.

Good point, karel.  If that doesn't get it, here's a couple of other things to try:

Go into IIS manager on the server.  Check to make sure that your web server is started.  If not, start it.  If you have problems, check your services that your web stuff isn't disabled.  Check the permissions on your web server, both within iis manager (web sites\properties\directory security\authentication and access control) and explorer that the generic anonymous browser user (something like iusr_servername) has access and that anonymous access is allowed within that same location in iis manager.

Also, check your server logs and event viewer.  If you see something out of the ordinary, post it here.
