Emule Problems with my DSL Modem

Every time i use emule with DSL modem (Netopia Caymen 3300) i keep geting a low ID and cannot download anything.
even when i disable the win xp firewall and Norton Firewall it still wont work.

im told i need to configure my modem to forward something....i have no idea can anyone help?

Port forwarding could be considered a "pinhole" to your internal system from the internet.

I am not familiar with that particular brand of router.  But, in many modems and in the router I use (LinkSys) there is a setup to the device that is accessible via a browser which allows me to specify which port(s) I would like to have forwarded into my internal network that is on the other side of the internet freom the device.
