i created a cfm template and i do a simple change to it , but the change is not reflected in the file that was created from the template!! why is this happening. the template is called template2.dwt.cfm ..... the file being updated is sell2.cfm

its really weird. the template updater says it updates sell2, but then i go look and it has not!

In DW templates you have EDITABLE REGIONS and NON-EDITABLE REGIONS.

The whole idea behind this is that you will set the stuff that every page should have in common as NON-EDITABLE REGIONS (menu, header, footer, etc), and the stuff that will be different in every page as EDITABLE REGIONS (title, news, etc).

The only thing that DW will actually update from the template is the content inside the NON-EDITABLE REGIONS since every page should have different content inside the EDITABLE REGION, and updating this would render the whole template concept useless.

Make sure that the content you are updating is inside a NON-EDITABLE REGION or it won't be updated.

Did this solve your problem?

Best regards,

Esopo.
