jim25 i have a similar board to this one,

problems to watch for are this and only this!

Sound card drivers need to be downloaded from nvidia website, otherwise you could experience problems when playing games.

Asus is a great manufacturer of motherboards and i would advise anyone to get one, so i wish you good luck with it.

its better you visit this site here you find all the detail information of asus motherboard
http://www.asus.com/products/mb/mbindex.htm

This KT600 chipset doens't have much of a improvement over a KT400 except highly integrated chips.
Main difference between VIA and NFORCE are in the memory accessing. You can achieve better results by using NForce than KT600, but this is not a much difference on the paper and even less in the real world.
If you want to use any Microsoft Based OS, then you´d better reconsider and go to Intel chipset option, it´s a little bit expensive but much more stable !!

This is just a " If I were in your shoes....." solution ....

Best Regards!
Intel Chipset is great but is not an option for someone who chose AMD processor...
I have this exact board  with the via chipset and its runs absolutely perfect, really a nice board
