Exchange 2000 sp3 on win2000 server sp4 latest patches
If i have the following checked under the mail store properties on the limits tab: do not delete mailboxes and items until store has been backed up. Situation: exchange admin left. I can not find a full back up or the differential backups that were supposed to of been done. If I have (do not delete mailboxes and items until store has been backed up) checked will all the email and items still be located in the store? and if so how do I retrieve them, since they have been deleted by users(items; Emails) administrators (mail boxes); as I only have a 30 day setting on the recover deleted items option for individuals. I will need access to say a individuals emails that have been deleted from their mail box but not from the store since there has not been a full backup of the store. I would like to be able to restore them to a neutral part of the network then do a full back of them, before I do a back up of the store which will delete them.
