HI

I want to secure my DSL network at home and wanted some advice on my idea. I am planning on buying an access point, a DSL modem and a PIX 516E( which I already have)

IS this correct:

Purchase DSL modem (any suggestions)

-Connect to PIX outside interface - does this use PPOE as default?

-Connect Pix inside interface to Access Point (any suggestions)

Thanks in advance for the input.

Your modem should handle the PPOE, and hand off a plain ethernet interface to the PIX. This could perform NAT if you want to the inside interface for your to run your AP off of it.

For advice on modems check out http://www.adslguide.org.uk It is UK centric for service providers but the hardware is the same.

Thanks

That site is good, but not for hardware recommendations. Can you recommend any other wireless modems and AP for the UK.
