Considering buying a Fujitsu 3093DG document scanner. Does not come with any software although driver is available from Fujitsu website. Need to know if original scanning software is needed or if other scanning software can be used. I sure could use some advice. Wanting a inexpensive scanner to scan documents in pdf and be able to put on cd. The scanner is very reasonable but I need expert advice about the software. Thanks

The scanner has both TWAIN and ISIS drivers. On the PC, the TWAIN driver gives you access from pretty much any application that supports scanning to the scanner.

So, if you have the full version of Acrobat, you can scan right into PDF.
