Dell using Lexmark Printers

I thought I read somewhere that now Dell is private labeling Lexmark printers as their own.  My sister just bought a Dell computer and she also got the Dell 720 Photo Printer with it "free".  The ink cartridges sent with it were only trial size so now she's in need of ink.  The only place I've been able to find ink for this printer is on the Dell website and it's outrageous.  Does anyone know if this Dell Photo 720 printer is really a Lexmark model that I might be able to find the ink cartridges much cheaper.  I realize Lexmark ink is not much cheaper, but they do at least have refill kits even though I'm not fond of those.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

And I suppose this is one of their newer offerings so no cheap ink supplier has refills or recycled cartridges yet?!!

Thanks!
I have a Dell computer, Windows XP.  Have taken off  Lexmark X75 printer and thrown it into the dumpster.  But cannot get it to uninstall.  It says that the Lexmark is running -- which of course, it is not.  How can I get this off, so I can install my new HP printer?  Thanks!

I believe this is Dell's rebranded version of the Lexmark z605. I have heard that you can cut off a tab on the part of the printer that is the "cartridge lid"- it is the door you lift up to remove an ink cartridge. I just ordered four Dell PCs that came with Dell 720 printers and I plan to buy z605 cartridges for them and cut off the plastic tabs.  See this newsgroup reference:  http://groups-beta.google.com/group/alt.sys.pc-clone.dell/msg/ee6f36dad5eea590
