Editmask for datetime column .. backspace key or delete it refreshes to 00/00/00 which is should do, BUT when you tab off the column it changes to 01/01/00

Hi Experts,

I am using powerbuilder 9.0 version build 5507.

problem description:
If a column (from a database table or external datasource) has a datatype of datetime and EditMask mm/dd/yy, if I clear out the date by hitting the backspace key or delete it refreshes to 00/00/00 which is should do, BUT when I tab off the column it changes to 01/01/00 (=01/01/1900).

It seems it is a fixed bug in version 7.0.2 but still in pb9.0 I am facing the same problem.
is there any programatic solution for this problem(can I modify 01/01/00 to 00/00/00 in any event or by any script?)? is this problem is solved in any later versions of PB 9.x ?? sothat I can simply upgrade my version by running some latest builds?

Thanks in advance,
kiran tummala.
