db2cc error in AIX 5.1 db2 8.1.5

1) The error is unsatisfied link error(cannot find jdbc library).

2) The other one is db2 at AIX prompt & getting db2 not found. But on running db2profile it works.

3) Earlier with db2 7.2.5 things were configured by old systems guy. The new guy is a little less knowing.

4) Can you suggest what all configurations are needed after db2 8.1 ESE install on this AIX 5.1 RISC/6000 system and application of fixpack 5 to get everything going smoothly.

Personally, I never use the Control Center on my AIX machines; I just use my Windows DB2 Client to administer my AIX DB2 databases.  However, I often use the db2 prompt on the AIX machines.  Whatever userid you are using to run these commands needs to source the db2profile within it's login scripts.  For instance, if the userid is running the korn shell,
then go to its home directory and add the following line to the .profile:

 . /yourdbinstance/sqllib/db2profile  

This will more than likely fix both of your problems.
