Tracking options in Outlook 2000.

I have turned tracking on for my email.  Once the email has been read I receive the notification telling me that the email has been sent.  Now, when I print the original email from my sent items folder there is a footer that is printed that shows the tracking details (recipient name and the time the email was read).  Is there any way to prevent the tracking details from printing out?

Hi pgsledder, I really like this option, but if you want to disable it, you must go through registry. See below, from MS Knowledgebase:

This article describes how to add a registry entry that can toggle the option to either print, or not print the tracking information associated with a message.
MORE INFORMATION
When sending an e-mail message in Outlook, you can set an option to notify you when the recipient reads the message. If you have installed Outlook in the Corporate/Workgroup (CW) mode, you can also be notified when the message is delivered, and you can utilize voting buttons in a message to gather information from the addressees. The results of the delivery, reading, and voting is recorded on a Tracking page of the message, and stored in your Sent Items folder.

If the message is printed, this tracking information is printed along with the message by default. The registry entry described below, enables you to toggle the printing of this tracking information on or off.

NOTE: This registry change may not work if Microsoft Word is enabled as your default e-mail editor. With Word you may get mixed results depending on whether your mail format is HTML or Rich Text.

WARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.

To Control Printing of the Tracking Information
To modify the registry, follow these steps:
Click Start, and click Run.
In Open, type regedit and click OK.
Move to the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Outlook\Preferences

Right-click the Preferences key, point to New and click DWORD value.
For the new value, type PrintTrackingPref, and press ENTER.
Right-click the PrintTrackingPref entry and click Modify.

Set the value to 1 (one) to turn off printing of the tracking information.
Set the value to 0 (zero) to turn on printing of the tracking information.
On the Registry menu, click Exit.
