Hi

I have recieved a PDF file from a user. I want to copy and paste some text from PDF to my word document that Im not able to do. When I try to select/highlight some are of text Im not able to. Even selecting Edit->Select all has no effect. The text dosent get selected at all.

I have also checked the Document Security by going to File->Document Security. It shows the Security Method as NONE and no password or restriction set as all the fields has "Allowed" written. This is strange as despite having no restrictions Im unable to select the text and copy. Although all other PDF files are behaving normal and am able to perform copy paste.

Please help if you know the resolve.

Thanks..

Is it possible that the PDF document was scanned? If that's the case, the whole page is an image, and you cannot select text (there is no text in the document). If you have the full version of Acrobat, you can run the Paper Capture tool to OCR it.
