I am attempting to use the distribution expert for Ver 8.  When I compile the report is say that it cannot ope the rpt file.  Please check that it is corrupt.

I have check rights, and this report will compile on other computers just not mine.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software and I still get the error.

Can you open and preview the report from the designer on that machine?

Was the report built with CR8?

Have you installed the updates for CR8?

Yees, I can open an preview on the machine, yes it was built in CR8 and on my machine, no I have not added the updates.  It works on other machines that have CR8 without the updates.  I will install the updates tomorrow when I am work.

Thanx

Sorry it took so long but I just had a thought.  Crystal 8 doesn't always uninstall completely so you may still have a corrupted file somewhere.

Crystal does have a batch file to ensure it is completely uninstalled
