SMTP in active directory

How do you turn off SMTP in active directory. I am trying to seperate the internal exchange server from the world, and only let it resolve internal mail. Thank you I found where to turn it off in exchange

Just disable the SMTP service on the machine (or machines) where it's running. Or are you asking how to remove the SMTP addresses from every user in Active Directory?

i know where to go to remove the active directory from the user, but it will not let me  remove it, it says that you are not able to remove the primary. I want to use X.400 any ideas
