_msdc.domain.com DNS zone
I have just created a new domain and new dns zone in my company.
It has created along with the "domain.com" zone a "_msdc.domain.com" zone.
I understand this zone is specially created to allow machines to find services and domain controllers.
When I have looked on our existing domains whch are all W2K servers and workstations I cant see a _msdc zone.
Why is this and does this mean i dont need it??
What would be the reason for not having it?
