net use command gives error 67, but can map through windows explorer

Hi, I can map a network drive through windows explorer just fine, but I need to create a batch file to do it for my users during login.  My question is....

net use t:\\servername or IP\sharename

returns system error 67 has occured.

The network name cannot be found

I know that it is not the network name, when I do start, run, and type \\servername, it comes right up.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi wirthr,
Looks good but for one little thing.
I do not know if this was a typo but you need a space between the t: and the \\servername

    like

    net use t: \\servername\sharename /persistent:yes

will map \\servername\sharename to the t drive and keep it over a reboot.

    Hope this helps

Hey wirthr,
Cheers, thought it may have been a goof... and I have made much bigger goofs than that!
Have a good one.
