Outlook Displays blank emails in preview pane and opened items

In a nutshell, the CEO of the company uses outlook 2000 inside of a win2k terminal server with about 20 other users from varying locations.  For some reason, throughout his day, he will peroidically loose his connection to his outlook in a wierd way.  What happens is suddenly, any email he selects in his outlook wont load in the preview pane.  the subject line will change but it will be blank on the body.  if he double clicks one, it does the same thing.  if he opens up a new message and tries to send it or send one that was in drafts, it gives out a "out of memory" error like his C: drive is full.  No other user has this problem and if he closes it and re-opens it, this usually fixes the problem (Sometimes he has to log out of the TS and back in to get it to work but thats more rare).

Now, the terminal server isn't experiancing high loads when he has these issues, the system has more then 20 gigs of free space and his temporary internet files are allowed to use almost a 3rd of the drive so the space doesn't look like the valid issue.  i would think its not outlook itself nessassarily since no other user has had this issue and its a terminal server so they all share the app between them.  I've no idea on this fix for this but its becoming a critical issue very quickly so as many points as i can give, i will to whoever helps me fix this.

what is the exact error message you are getting when it tells you that you are out of memory?

Can this be tried one by one to see if that would help

a)Open outlook .Go to help menu and click "Detect and repair". Check if this would help.

b) Repair PST : http://www.slipstick.com/problems/scanpst.htm

c)Also take a backup of all emails and go to control panel ---> mail --> delete the profile and recreate one again

Ooops, i forgot to mention this is exchange, so there are no PSTs.  and the exchange server and the terminal server are both in the same rack.  all other 20 users point to the same exchange server (2003 exchange) but only this one has the issue.

I will try to see if i can get the error again.  i'm not in front of his PC and it doesn't happen on command.  I did google search it when i did have it and it showed up as a generic outlook memory error.


I have already recreated his profile (since this is exchange its not a big deal to do) but that did not fix the problem, and i also disabled a few addin's to outlook and for the hell of it turned down macro security.  No go on any of that.  just this afternoon i rebuilt his entire user profile and moved only teh shortcuts and favorites over.  hopefully this might take care of the problem but we shall see...

Removed and rebuilt his user profile and that looks to have fixed it.  Just thought i'd FYI you all.  Thanks for the help though
