Hi,

I have a cross tab report in Crystal 10 which is giving me problems when displaying more than 495 rows. When viewing the dataset from the Crystal designer all the rows (698) are displayed correctly. However when the report is run through an ASP .net application i get an error saying: "Specified argument was out of the range of valid values. Parameter name: value"
the stack trace is as follows: -

   System.Web.UI.WebControls.Unit..ctor(Int32 value)

Have you applied CR10 Service Pack 1 which was released in August?  I'm not certain this is the problem, but there was a reported issue of crosstab COLUMNS being cutoff when viewed on the web and that was suppossed to be fixed.  I haven't seen any documentation but it isn't unreasonable to guess that perhaps too many rows could be cutoff by a related issue.

I have installed the following service packs but still have the same problem:

crnet11win_en_sp2.exe
cr10win_en_sp1.exe

Any more ideas please?

I have been in contact with Business Objects support and it is looking more likely that this is a Crystal bug.

Currently I'm in touch with Business Objects over this issue. It seems that the problem is inherintly Crystal not supporting more than 32 pages on a Cross-Tab report. Basically, it is a problem with their object model. This has been confirmed by their support personel, and pausibly issue a hot fix for it, in the nearby future.

Thanks.
