The .pst file is located in
C:\Documents and Settings\{user name}\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
You might also want to check that your assistant didn't associate .pst files to "Channel registeration Helper applcation "
Within Windows Explorer, Tools/Folder Options/File Options/PST
It should be "Office Data Files"
If it's something else,
Delete PST entry, Find PST file from above and double click, and reassociate back to MS Outlook

Make sure to have the folder options view to all files, even hidden files, maybe the file is hidden. Then do a search (what else is knew)..
