DBXpress Gives Strange Errors

I have a delphi application using DBXPress which I'm using to write some data to a mysql database that will be used for content for a website.  I have a function that changes ' to \' and does some other escape sequences for me, but when I try to put in a link with the href="http://www.shareaza.com", it says there is no value for the parameter "//www.shareaza.com".  If I leave the quotes off the href delimiter, it works fine, but I want my site to be xhtml strict compliant.  The colon seems to be the problem, but if i select ":" in the mysql command thing, it works fine.

Is this a bug in DBXpress or is there something I'm overlooking?

Make the "http://" hardcoded. Your parameter from the DB will be without http:// in the beginning. The parameter can be just "www.shareaza.com" and you add http:// from the code...
