"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The answer to this question seems to change every month or so with  advancing technology. Keep checking out macromedia's website for the lastest articles, tutorials, and updates.

Basically you need Macromedia Flash Lite, the Flash Player profile for mobile phones.

Here is the CDK

Developing Flash content for a mobile device will depend on the version of player on the device.  Most will have Flash Lite 1.1 which is basically like developing for the old Flash 4 player.  If you leverage any action script, it will need to be written in Actionscript 1, not 2.  If you have Flash MX 2004, you can use the tempates included for the screen size, just be sure to publish the resulting files for the correct version of the player for your target device.
